La Ville du Lac, Haiti

The city of lake will be located near the Haitian and Dominican border in Fond Parisien. It will be a luxury city comprising of 34,000 homes and apartments, 500 commercial buildings, an industrial park 300 warehouses, universities, water services, 24hrs electricity and security, according to Le Nouvelliste.

This is probably the largest and most ambitious urban development project in Haiti with a prize tag of more than 6.5 million. The town is 38,000,000 square meters; it rises to 900 meters above sea level overlooking Lake Azuie.

The city will be divided into three rows, 300, 900, and 3500 meters, including green spaces, recreation areas, and a community center.

The towns will be modern neoclassical style with Caribbean air, sloping ceilings with tiles, balconies, cornices, columns, round, large courtyards, and areas of retirement. This project will addressed the needs of average Haitian society and the Diaspora, and it will employ at least 24,000 people for both during the construction and to maintain the city once built.
