Thomonde, Haiti

A project to improve the habitat conditions in the Thomonde County was launched by the Border Development Commission (BDC) and the City Council of Thomonde. The project will cost $8 million, a group of military retirees in Tampa - Florida, United States will finance the project up to $5 million.

The project will accommodate 500 families, and according to BDC, they will need 150 field tiles for the remainder of the project.

This project will provide the families in the area with houses with two or three bedrooms, and agriculture in the area will be upgraded with the construction of greenhouses
