During a Mass celebrated by Bishop Pierre André Dumas, the celebrant in the homily for the occasion, said that the High General Staff of the National Police, in recent years brought both new blood but also an approach innovative, making the local police, to serve the citizens any activity that has taken root and has yielded very positive results.
"The commemoration of its 15 clusters should enable the HNP to define its future through a stronger proximity with people," said Bishop Dumas in the presence of President Rene Preval and his wife, the high command and several units of the HNP, etc..

For this, I invite you to be men and women caring and dedicated to serving the people, "he said, adding that the police are called to bring order, but also to establish a climate of trust and remain faithful to their mission is to protect and serve.
For his part, Director General of the HNP, Mario Andresol, said that nothing would permit the HNP to celebrate his 15 years in these difficult times and troubling that the Haitian people live five months after the devastating disaster that has severely ravaged the country.
