The North Pole chosen as development by the government


At least four agreements of public / private partnerships have been signed at the weekend elapsed between the government and the business sector in the north.

These agreements provide funding for major infrastructure projects in the far north of the country. They were signed by Finance Minister Ronald Baudin who toured the weekend.

According to the Minister of Economy and Finance, Ronald Baudin, the northern department has been retained by the Government to make these projects because of certain assets at its disposal: its historical and cultural world and its seaside resorts high quality.

Mr. Baudin said that the airport will be expanded Cap Haitian with funding from the Venezuelan government.

In addition, he noted that the government will strengthen local governance and management capacity of technical services for various municipalities of Cap Haitian.

Also according to the general treasurer of the Republic, several sections of road will be rehabilitated and the largest public hospital from Cape Haitian to be renovated as part of these projects.

He said that many projects are running and some are nearing completion.

Furthermore, the Minister said that feasibility studies are currently underway for the establishment of an industrial park in the Cape Haitian.

The far north was not affected by the earthquake of January 12. However it is and remains exposed to a major earthquake could cause considerable damage if provisions are not implemented by the Haitian state.
